[pdf] Freetown, Sierra Leone | 10 April 2025: The Republic of Sierra Leone today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Hecate Global Renewables (HGR), and Africa50 to develop 100 MW of Renewable Energy projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (“BESS”).
[pdf] The new BESS project is designed to significantly reduce reliance on diesel generation, enhances electricity quality, and strengthens infrastructure resilience in key regions of the island.
