Gham Power together with its partners Practical Action and Swanbarton have officially been awarded a project by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to install one of the largest energy storage systems in Nepal, with a total battery capacity of 4MWh.
[pdf] Freetown, Sierra Leone | 10 April 2025: The Republic of Sierra Leone today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Hecate Global Renewables (HGR), and Africa50 to develop 100 MW of Renewable Energy projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (“BESS”).
[pdf] The project, considered the world's largest solar-storage project, will install 3.5GW of solar photovoltaic capacity and a 4.5GWh battery storage system. The project has commenced in November 2024.
