UNDP has established a hybrid mini-grid plant project in Ash Shamayatain, Taiz Governorate, combining solar and wind power to provide reliable and clean energy to remote and off-grid areas.
[pdf] The World Bank Group today approved the Mauritania Development of Energy Resources and Mineral Sector Support Project—known as the DREAM Project—to boost green hydrogen development, expand energy storage, and support critical reforms in the mining sector.
[pdf] The project is located in the Kom Ombo area of Aswan, Egypt, and was built as an expansion of an existing 500 MW PV power plant. The energy storage station has a capacity of 150 MW/300 MWh and consists of 72 battery containers, 36 PCS-integrated units, and an intelligent control system.
